About us

Hoi An, Faifo she was once called.
A town many centuries old.
Where the land meets the sea.
Where forever I wish to be.
She whispers of a time it seemed would never end.
A time when ships filled with riches came and went.
Of a bridge and temples this old town tells.
Of merchants, spices and Champa wells.
Hoi An once prosperous only to lose it all.
A town frozen in time after its unfortunate fall.
She tells stories of poverty and invaders,
That replaced the enterprising the traders.
About happiness changing into fear,
And people losing everything they once held dear.
But to my relief I heard this ancient town say,
That war and suffering eventually went away.
Today Hoi An offers everything a visitor would want.
It is here that I found this lovely restaurant.
